4-FULL STEPS = 4-F or 4-S or 4-FS
On the reverse of the Jefferson Nickel from the top of the Memorial proceeding down, step one to step four should be separated with a full step line from left to right. The Memorial steps must exhibit four fully separated steps. Alternatively, you may also have all five or six steps of the Memorial or 80%, in which case you can also have a 4-FS designation. Steps are visible in the fasces, which signifies the strength of the major design element of the reverse memorial. All STEPS are separated by a line, which must be 90% complete throughout the 5 steps or 6 complete steps. Whether or not a coin exhibits this depends on the striking pressure the dies were set to when the coin was struck.
